Kendall + Luke – Moorngag Hall

Email comes in and it goes a bit like this……”We are getting married but we are calling it an affirmation day and then we are going to celebrate with a music festival theme – are you interested in being our photographer?” Uuuuuum let me think about that…..hell yes!

This story is full of love, caffeine and wine!!!! Kendall and Luke have been together for 6 and a half years. They met when Luke used to have a mobile coffee van that he drove around Wangaratta. Luke would deliver coffee to Kendall’s work every day – and Kendall freely admits she developed quite a coffee habit!!!! 6 months later he came over to look at the house Kendall was renting to talk about moving in as a housemate and a few bottles of wine later they both had different ideas, and as they say the rest was history……in 2017 Kendall proposed to Luke at Burning Seed music festival .

Kendall + Luke are pretty unique individuals who don’t like to fit into society’s boxes or the status quo, who believe in choosing love over fear every time. There was not much throughout the day that was traditional, and they really wanted the photography that would capture this feel, the details and the love. I will admit when Kendall was describing the vision for her gown when we first met I was entranced and the custom creation by Salt of the Earth Bridal did not disappoint. The day was filled to the brim with joy, love and celebration with a few good surprises for both thrown in including the incredible flow artist + fire dancer Jessie Spin.

Kendall + Luke are made for each other and their affirmation day was so full of colour, music, great people, emotion, joy, humour and love that I often had to pinch myself to keep taking photos and not just get caught up in celebrating their incredible day.
