🎉 **Catherine + James’s Wedding Vision: A Weekend Full of Love, Food, and Fun**
Now, let’s dive into Catherine + James’s vision for their wedding day. Imagine a whole weekend of celebration at some of the best venues in the food, wine, and fantastic weather haven that is Rutherglen. They kicked off the festivities with a private event on Friday night at James & Co. Wines. Yep, you guessed it – the same James & Co. Wines that my husband Ricky and I have run for the last six years. It’s not just a cellar door for our winery and a wine bar; it’s a fabulous venue for a pre-wedding get-together or a post-wedding recovery! This allowed Catherine and James to personally welcome many of their guests in a relaxed and lovely setting. On the big day, guests enjoyed the wedding of Catherine & James with a truly beautiful ceremony in the Rose Garden at All Saints Estate, relaxed with canapés, caught up with old friends and made new ones, and danced the night away on a full dance floor. Pure magic, right? The following day, guests were invited to a recovery event at The Pickled Sisters Cafe in Rutherglen.
As for the feel of the wedding day images, Catherine + James envisioned simplicity and timelessness. They wanted to capture those moving, busy moments that tell the story of their love. Their wish was for a gallery of genuine, authentic frames that stand the test of time. Now, let’s rewind to where it all began. Catherine + James met while working together as teachers and quickly became best friends. Over time, their bond evolved into something more, and now, they’re still best friends but getting married – yay! James proposed at the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai after a dreamy summer holiday in Europe. For wedding inspiration, Catherine + James turned to the ever-reliable Pinterest, a treasure trove of ideas for creating their dream wedding. The styling followed a native/eucalyptus theme, with bridesmaid dresses in olive green. The color palette embraced olive green, earthy browns, pale pinks, purples, and more – a harmonious blend of nature’s hues.
The venue they chose, the iconic All Saints Estate in Wahgunyah, with its beautiful gardens and iconic castle backdrop, set the stage for a wedding full of enchantment.
Catherine’s wedding gown, crafted by the incredible designer Mariana Hardwick, was a masterpiece of elegance. Mariana Hardwick designs, with their contemporary orientation, draw inspiration from couture, vintage references, and textures. The result? Timeless beauty that complements the female form.
Florals for Catherine + James were brought to life by the amazing Real Florist in Albury. Renee, the creative force behind the blooms, has been working in weddings for 11 years and loves every wedding she is part of. She works hard to ensure she understands the couple’s vision and delivers gorgeous wedding florals that reflect their style and the vibe they love.
And let’s not forget the magical Katherine of Lovers Lane, the lovely gal who officiated the ceremony – a self-confessed hopeless romantic who loves uniting couples in love. With a warm, vibrant nature and a love for storytelling, Katherine ensured that the ceremony was as special and unique as the love that Catherine & James share.
