For Jess and Kane, choosing Mansfield was a no-brainer. The landscape, the natural surroundings, and the rural charm of the region became the backdrop for their dream wedding.

Choosing the Perfect Venue: Jess and Kane’s choice of Coombs Hill Barn for their ceremony was nothing short of genius. The barn, set on 100 acres, provided a blank canvas for them to curate and design their dream wedding. It’s a DIY space that caters to intimate elopements, micro weddings, and a select few larger cocktail-style weddings each year. With endless outdoor ceremony locations, deck cocktails overlooking Delatite Valley, and a transformable barn space, Coombs Hill Barn offers a unique and customisable experience. The property is beautifully furnished and filled with natural light and the main living room is anchored with an incredible open fireplace – with the natural light and stylish interiors it is the perfect location for getting ready photos. I think my favourite part of the day was when the buses arrived and dropped off the guests for the ceremony and the look of awe and wonder on their faces as they took in the property and the location and the views to Mount Buller – it is pure magic!!!!!!

The Celebration Continues: Delatite Winery, chosen for the wedding reception, added another layer of beauty to Jess and Kane’s day. The venue, with its new cellar door and restaurant, creates a unique experience with 180-degree views of the high country. Whether for intimate celebrations or grand events, indoor or outdoor, Delatite Winery is a versatile and picturesque location. It caters to various events, from wedding receptions to private cocktail parties, making it the ideal spot for a stylish and unforgettable celebration. Beautiful food, and incredible sunset, wine, fabulous and funny speeches, dining and dancing it was just all so beautiful!!!!!!

The Couple’s Vision: Jess and Kane envisioned a wedding with a “relaxed elegance” feel. For them, it was about creating a fun and light atmosphere with high-quality finishes. Good food, good wine, and good music were non-negotiables. The couple’s desire for a seamless guest experience and fun-filled images guided the planning process. Their emphasis on minimalistic settings and natural beauty perfectly aligned with the stunning venues they chose.

Behind the Scenes: As a wedding photographer, the journey with Jess and Kane was not just about capturing moments but understanding their story and how they wanted the day to roll. I worked with them early on in the process on their timeline of the day to make sure I understoond what they wanted and how we were going to do it. I went to Mansfield the day before the wedding for what I call a ‘scouting outing’ and this helped me to study the light and the landscape and meticulously plan our time together, ensuring that the photography session was short, sweet, and fun. It was about celebrating with their loved ones while efficiently capturing the essence of their special day.
