Craig + Norman – Albury Wedding
After twenty years of marriage, lost photos and an updated law, Craig and Norman were able to make things legal! This is a couple that is so full of lovelovelove, laughter and happiness. Our pre wedding Zoom meetings and planning sessions were full of excitement and hilarity.
Craig and Norman had their first wedding, which wasn’t actually a wedding as it preceded same-sex marriage laws, in 2001 – so, with a law change and a whole lot of love these two tied the knot for real this year, surrounded by family and friends. Their brief for me was simple. They wanted their guests to have a great time, their photos to ‘feel’ emotive and most of their wedding inspiration came from their first wedding. There was plenty of detail to capture and so much thought had gone into what they would include in their day and why. This is what I love about this job – the people that I work with and creating images sprinkled with heart and soul that is about them and that mean everything to them.
10 minutes into the ceremony it started to rain and a new location was found under a big beautiful oak tree so now they have their very own ‘wedding tree’ in the Albury Botanical Gardens! Fabulous celebrant Klara McMurray is always brilliant to work with and she brings so much personality and joy to a wedding day. Ninja Vows were a new thing to me and resulted in hilarity and so much emotion. Incredible florals by Form Over Function took the celebrations to a whole new level. The Riverdeck on the banks of the Murray River is the perfect venue for a cosy celebration and the service and food offered is always top notch.
This day was all about love, laughter and celebration.
