Styled Shoot – Intimate Wedding Celebration

You know when your friends call you up and say hey – I have some new an idea do you want to do a styled shoot!!!??? No??!! Ha, well I have friends who do this and in 6 years no matter how busy life is I have never said no! Why? Because it is always fun and I love what we come up with and I just love photographing what we create!!!! Plus the post-shoot drinks always taste ah-mazing after a hard days work at a styled shoot!!!!!

This time we were working at an absolutely stunning private property in Albury NSW with a beautiful lush garden and the most incredible pool!!!! Sharriee from Gather had made some new white trestle tables and had some beautiful new white Bentwood style chairs and she had dreamed up an idea for a set up for a low key wedding reception (or even a gorgeous afternoon lunch with the girls!!!) The florals were by Carla from Thistle + Fern. Carla owns a retail store in Wodonga and is an event floral specialist and what she comes up with is always a joy to look at and to photograph. If you know me well then you know that I always say never skimp on florals – creative and thoughtful florals have the ability to absolutely make an event!!!! The table was decked out with amazing floral arrangements and beautiful pieces from Event Merchant Co. which involved a dash down south and a highway rendezvous with the owner Annie to collect the goodies for the tables. We have done a few shoots with Event Merchant Co now and her style always lifts a tablescape to new heights. The white trestles and chairs from Gather made for a fresh bright poolside set up in the beautiful gardens and Sharriee created a plush lounge area as the perfect set up for guests to relax and enjoy a James & Co. Sparkling Sangiovese Rose. You can see that we were joined by Rango the dog as he decided that some time on the plush couch was just too good to miss out on!!!!!

With the new restrictions on weddings due to Covid 19 and the change in rules around weddings people are considering the option of a smaller wedding. Over the last week there have been enquiries about low key wedding coverage so if you are making plans for an intimate wedding (that’s dog friendly!!!) and are looking for inspiration and/or a photographer then get in touch! I have developed packages especially for small weddings and you will be surprised how much joy can be captured in the low key wedding package!
