Wedding Photography Packages

2026/2027

I photograph a limited number of weddings each year, choosing to work with couples who are planning intentional, heartfelt celebrations rather than large-scale productions.

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed country wedding, an intimate winery gathering, or a meaningful celebration surrounded by your favourite people — you’re in the right place. My approach suits celebrations that feel connected, considered and personal, rather than highly staged or production-heavy events.

I’m especially drawn to couples who value atmosphere over extravagance, who care about how the day feels more than how it performs, and who want beautiful imagery without their wedding turning into a full-day photoshoot. Couples who want their guests to feel relaxed, welcomed and truly part of the celebration — not waiting around for hours while moments are staged.

If that sounds like you, we’ll get along beautifully.

Below you’ll find my core coverage options. If your plans feel aligned, I’d love to chat further.

3 Hour Coverage

From $2500

Perfect for elopements, intimate weddings and smaller gatherings.

This option is designed to beautifully capture your ceremony, portraits and those just-married moments without overextending coverage. Ideal for couples who value quality over quantity and want the heart of their day documented with care.

5 Hour Coverage

From $3950

A generous, relaxed amount of coverage.

This is my most popular option for North East Victoria weddings. It typically includes parts of getting ready, the ceremony, portraits and the beginning of your reception — enough time to tell the story naturally without turning your day into a photoshoot.

Extended Coverage (Up to 8 Hours)

From $4700

For couples planning a longer, relaxed celebration, extended coverage is available by conversation.

This option allows your full day to unfold naturally — from getting ready through to reception moments — without watching the clock.

For weddings with guest numbers over 100, a second photographer is required to ensure seamless, comprehensive coverage. In these cases, the total investment is $5500, which includes coordinated second photographer coverage for the duration of your day.

I personally arrange and brief the second photographer so your gallery remains cohesive and true to my style.

All Wedding Collections Include:

  • Pre-wedding consultation and timeline guidance

  • Support in shaping a relaxed, photo-friendly flow to your day

  • Professionally edited high-resolution images

  • Private online gallery for viewing and downloading

  • Sneak peeks shortly after your wedding

Weddings Beyond North East Victoria

While I’m proudly based in North East Victoria, I’m always open to travelling for the right people and the right kind of celebration.

For me, it’s never about the location alone — it’s about connection. If your wedding feels intentional, relaxed and deeply personal, I’m more than happy to pack my bags and meet you there.

Travel is quoted individually based on location and logistics, and I only take on a small number of weddings outside the region each year to ensure every couple receives the same thoughtful experience.

“Georgie was the wedding photographer of our dreams! She is calm, efficient, creative, and has a brilliant eye for the Victorian country landscape. We knew that Georgie would be in high demand and were stoked to book her for our special day. We couldn’t be happier with our photos and the service she provided from start to finish.”

FAQs

Do you travel?

Yes — I regularly travel for weddings across Victoria, New South Wales and throughout Australia.

I’m based near Rutherglen in North East Victoria, and photograph many weddings throughout the Albury–Wodonga region, the Victorian High Country and regional NSW. I’m often working in places like Bright, Beechworth, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga, Mansfield, Mount Beauty, Echuca and Falls Creek, as well as Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Orange, Mudgee and Melbourne.

Over the past decade I’ve photographed weddings in incredible locations — from vineyard weddings in regional Victoria to country property celebrations, coastal weddings and remote Australian landscapes. I love documenting weddings in places that feel meaningful to a couple, especially when the setting plays a part in the story of the day.

While I photograph many weddings close to home, I’m always happy to travel for the right couple and connection. If you’re planning a destination wedding, a regional celebration or something a little off the beaten path, I’d love to hear about it.

Simply get in touch and tell me where your wedding will be held, and I can create a custom quote for your location.

How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?

Many couples book their wedding photographer 12–18 months in advance, particularly for popular dates in spring and autumn.

If you’re planning a wedding in regional Victoria, North East Victoria, regional NSW or South Australia, it’s a good idea to get in touch as soon as you have your date and venue confirmed.

The first step is simply to have a chat about your plans. If we both feel like the right fit, your date can then be secured with a booking form and booking fee.

How do we book?

The first step is to have a chat about your plans for the day. It’s a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and for me to understand what you’re looking for in your wedding photography. Choosing a photographer is personal, so it’s important that my style and approach feel like the right fit for you.

If you decide to go ahead, your date is secured with a signed booking form and a $1,000 booking fee — and just so we’re clear, no booking fee means the date isn’t held.

Closer to the wedding, we’ll meet again to talk through the details and shape a timeline so the day flows naturally and we allow the right time for the photos you want.

The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding day.

What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?

You’re not alone — almost every couple says this to me when we first start talking.

The truth is, most people aren’t used to being professionally photographed, and that’s completely normal. My approach is very relaxed and natural, so there’s no pressure to perform or pose in a certain way.

Instead of stiff posing, I’ll gently guide you with simple direction and natural movement, so the photos feel like you — comfortable, connected and enjoying the moment together.

Over the years I’ve learned that the best images happen when couples forget about the camera and focus on each other. My job is to create an environment where that feels easy.

By the time we’re halfway through your portraits, most couples tell me they’re actually having fun with it.

Do you help us plan our wedding photography timeline?

Absolutely. One of the most helpful things I can do is assist you in shaping a timeline that allows the day to flow naturally while giving us the time we need for beautiful photographs.

Having photographed more than 150 weddings, I know how the rhythm of a wedding day unfolds. Closer to the wedding we’ll chat through your plans — including ceremony timing, travel between locations and sunset — and build a timeline that works with your chosen photography package.

The goal is simple: a relaxed day where you can be present with your family and friends while I capture the moments that matter most.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

I offer 3-hour, 5-hour and 8-hour photography packages, and the best option really depends on what parts of the day you’d love captured.

As a rough guide, couples often allow about an hour for getting ready photos (if you are having them!), around 30 minutes for family photos, and about 45 minutes for portraits of the two of you.

Having photographed more than 150 weddings, I’ve found that eight hours is often the sweet spot for telling the full story of the day — from the excitement of getting ready through to the celebrations. That said, shorter coverage can work beautifully too; it just means focusing on the moments that matter most to you.

Closer to the wedding, I’ll help you map out a simple timeline that works with your chosen package. We’ll consider things like travel between locations, ceremony timing and sunset, so the day flows naturally and we make the most of our time together.

With a clear plan, we can capture the heart of your wedding day — no matter which package you choose.

What’s the advantage of having two photographers?

Having two photographers simply means two sets of eyes on your wedding day.

While I’m focused on key moments — like the ceremony or portraits — a second photographer can be capturing the reactions, candid moments and the atmosphere unfolding around us. It also allows us to photograph important parts of the day, such as the ceremony and reception, from different angles and perspectives, which adds wonderful variety to your final gallery.

A second photographer also brings another layer to the story of the day — capturing not only what you experienced as a couple, but also the moments happening among your family and friends.

That said, a second photographer isn’t essential for every wedding. Many weddings are beautifully covered by a single photographer, especially when the day is relaxed and everything happens in one location.

If you’re planning a larger wedding (around 100+ guests), multiple locations, large wedding parties, videographers or a tight timeline, having a second photographer can be incredibly helpful. It simply means more moments are captured while the day unfolds naturally.

When we chat about your plans, I’m always happy to talk through whether a second photographer would genuinely add value for your wedding day.

Can you recommend other wedding suppliers?

Yes! I regularly work with some truly talented and lovely professionals. You’ll find some of them listed here, or email for more information.

Do you shoot smaller weddings and parties?

Absolutely. I love capturing intimate weddings and meaningful gatherings of all kinds, which is why I offer 3-hour and 5-hour coverage options.

Not every wedding needs to be a full-day production. Many couples are planning something smaller, more relaxed and deeply personal with their closest friends and family.

With a clear brief and a little planning together, it’s amazing how much we can capture in a shorter amount of time. If you can share the heart and soul of what matters most on your wedding day, I’ll help shape a timeline that allows us to photograph those moments beautifully.

Small weddings often have a wonderful intimacy to them, and I love being there to document that story.

What happens if the equipment fails while you’re shooting our wedding, or afterwards?

What I know for sure is that I’m dedicated to capturing your day. This isn’t the time and place for tech failures! That’s why I’m extremely prepared for any unforeseen tech circumstances unfolding at your wedding. We obviously can’t predict when and if something may go awry, but we’ll be ready with extra equipment, cards, lenses and other necessary gear to continue without interruption. Even after the wedding, we store images in multiple places for added safety.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

A little rain rarely affects great wedding photos. In fact, some of the most beautiful and atmospheric images I’ve captured have been on slightly moody days.

If the weather looks uncertain, we’ll simply adjust the plan. This might mean choosing a sheltered location, shifting the timing slightly, or embracing the moment with umbrellas and soft natural light.

With experience photographing weddings across regional Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, I’m used to adapting to whatever the day brings — so you can relax knowing we’ll always find a way to create beautiful images.

What happens if you’re sick or unable to photograph our wedding?

The big advantage of having me at your wedding is that I make every effort humanly possible to ensure our commitments go as planned. If life has other plans, and an emergency arises, I have talented associate photographers on hand. Should there be a situation where even this isn’t possible, GJP belong to a select group of professional photographers that back each other up (kind of like the photography mafia) . We’re family. We’ve got one another — and you — covered. We can assure you, you’ll have an amazing photographer and a worry-free experience on your wedding day.

What happens after our wedding day?

I know you’ll be excited to relive the day, so I always share a sneak peek in the days after your wedding — a little preview while the full gallery is being prepared.

After that, I carefully edit and curate your images in my signature style, selecting the photographs that best tell the story of your day. This process usually takes around 6–8 weeks.

Once everything is ready, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery where you can view, download and share your photographs.

From there, it’s time for the fun part — pour a glass of bubbles, sit down together, and choose your favourite images to print and enjoy for years to come.

Your digital images are yours for personal use, meaning you can download them, share them with family and friends, and print them however you like. The images can’t be sold or altered commercially, and the copyright remains with Georgie James Photography.

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, but most couples receive between 300–800 carefully edited images depending on the length of coverage and the flow of the day.

Rather than focusing on a strict number, my goal is to deliver a beautifully curated collection that tells the full story of your wedding day — the big moments, the quiet moments and everything in between.

Each image is individually edited in my signature style before being delivered in an online gallery where you can download, share and print your photographs.

Once we receive our digital images, what can we do with them?

Your images are yours to download, share with family and friends, and print for personal use. Many couples love sharing their favourites with loved ones or creating their own prints to enjoy at home.

That said, there’s something truly special about seeing your photographs come to life as tangible pieces — beautiful prints, albums and wall art that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Your online gallery includes a simple shop feature, where you and your family can easily order professional-quality prints, albums and wall art directly from the gallery. It’s a lovely way to ensure your images are printed with the care and quality they deserve, and everything can be delivered straight to your door.

Many couples enjoy sitting down together after the wedding, choosing their favourite photographs and turning them into prints or an album that tells the story of the day.

Still have a question?

Every wedding is different, and sometimes the easiest way to figure things out is simply to have a chat. If you’d like to tell me a little about your plans, I’d love to hear from you.
