This might be ‘old’ work… but it still feels exactly the same to me.

Because for me, it’s never just about what’s in front of the camera.

It’s about the feeling in a space.
 The mood.
 The way everything comes together when the right people are involved.

We walked into an empty venue and saw the potential — the layers, the light, the way it could all unfold.

And when you’re working with people who bring skill, not ego…who care about how it feels, not just how it looks… it just flows.

That’s always been the difference.

I’ll never be drawn to work that feels rushed or put together just for the sake of it.
 The work that lasts — the work that means something — always comes from intention, collaboration, generosity of spirit and a bit of trust in the process.

And honestly… that’s still exactly where I want to be 🤍

Some days just feel like they were always meant to be.

After a winding road to get here, Jessica & James found their place at Henley’s — and everything fell into place. The weather softened, the light showed up, and the day unfolded in the most beautiful, effortless way.

There was so much joy in this day. The kind you can feel — the anticipation, in the walk down the aisle, in the way they looked at each other, in every hug, every laugh, every moment shared with the people who love them most.

Because at the heart of it all, this is what it was about — two people building a life together, full of love, excitement, and everything still to come.

An intimate gathering of guests.
Low light.
Brass lamps glowing.
A surprise magician moving between tables.
Courses revealed one by one.

The brief wasn’t simply to photograph the menu.

It was to document the atmosphere —
the way the room hummed,
the way martinis caught the light,
the reveal of each course,
the way guests leaned in and stayed a little longer,
the way a room feels when it’s humming.

The Last Supper Club is intimate, considered and layered — and documenting that atmosphere was the priority.

Not just content.
A visual library that supports marketing, storytelling and growth.

Hospitality is layered.

Four days. A light plane. Some very good mates. A

Four days.
A light plane.
Some very good mates.

Albury → Broken Hill → William Creek → Birdsville → White Cliffs → home again.

No shot list.
No brief.
Just my camera and how I saw it.

We flew over Lake Eyre as it began to fill from the Queensland floods. The Channel Country and desert were full of water — rivers carving their way through places that usually sit dry and silent.

From the air, Australia feels endless.
Salt pans like brush strokes.
Water finding its own path.
Tiny towns holding their ground in the middle of nowhere.

There were plenty of laughs (some that probably can’t be repeated), rough strips, golden sunsets, and that hum of the engine that becomes part of you after a while.

I didn’t go looking for anything specific.
I just photographed what stopped me.

Sometimes that’s the best way to see a place — and yourself — properly.

What an adventure.

This year I’ve felt a real pull toward weddings

This year I’ve felt a real pull toward weddings that feel like a dinner party with vows.

Garden settings.
Good wine.
Guests who actually know each other.
Confetti thrown properly.

Less production.
More presence.

That’s where I do my best work.

This is the work I love most. Not the fast jobs.

Smaller doesn’t mean less. It means intentional

Smaller doesn’t mean less.

It means intentional.

It means every guest is there for a reason.
It means the food is chosen carefully.
It means the hugs last longer.

These are the weddings I feel most connected to right now.

And as 2026 quietly fills, I’m leaning into more of this energy.

Brenda and Paula run the Wellbeing Hub in Yarrawonga. Brenda is a fabulous photographer (that's how we met!)…and she chose to step out from behind the tripod and into the frame.

That decision alone says a lot.

When you run a business, you know how important imagery is. But knowing how to take a photo and knowing how to be seen properly are two very different things.

Brenda and Paula wanted:

• Headshots with warmth and presence
• Real connection between them
• Environmental portraits in their workspace
• Images that anchor them in Yarrawonga — their home

We had 90 minutes.
A wardrobe change.
Soft 8.30am light by the lake.
Cockatoos overhead.

We moved efficiently. We laughed. We walked and we talked. We didn’t force anything.

This is the part of the work that isn’t always visible — reading energy, guiding without over-directing, knowing when to shift locations, when to hold a moment, when to let silence do its thing.

It’s nuanced.
It’s instinctive.
It’s experience.

Before every session, I talk through the brief properly. We work out what actually needs to be covered and how long that realistically takes. I will never sell extra time if you don’t need it. The goal is clarity, not upselling.

Regional businesses deserve imagery that feels considered, warm and professional — not generic.

The Wellbeing Hub has heart.
Now their imagery does too.

So that’s what we protected.

No rushed first look.
Time for grandparents.
Wedding rings were made by J's grandfather.
Time for family photos.
Time to breathe.

A complete story — not just highlights.

My couples care deeply about each other & their families & friends.
They want the day to feel relaxed, not staged.
They want someone who reads the room.

This wasn’t a production.
It was a celebration.

And it felt exactly like them.

After more than a decade of photographing weddings

After more than a decade of photographing weddings, I’ve learnt something important.

I don’t need the whole day.

I need the moments that matter.

The ceremony.
The confetti.
The long table.
The way they look at each other when no one else is watching.

In 2026, I’m focusing on a small number of intimate, heartfelt celebrations.

The kind that feel personal and beautifully real.

2014. I was just starting out. Self taught. Nervou

Self taught. Nervous. Second guessing myself constantly.
Still working another job and photographing with this quiet, stubborn dream that one day I would make it work.

And then Catherine Stewart needed photographs for a magazine feature.

We talked. We met.
I fell completely in love with her art.

Until I met Catherine, I had never wanted to buy art.
Now… I have quite the collection.

She was one of the very first artists to trust me as a business photographer. One of the first people who believed I could do this professionally.

And here we are — eleven years later.

Still creating.
Still evolving.
Still backing each other.

When I talk about the value of long term relationships in business… this is what I mean.

I believe the universe sends you the right people.

I first met Athina & Ian while photographing a wedding in Mansfield. The bride was getting ready in an Airbnb they owned — and I see a lot of Airbnbs.

But this one stopped me.

The styling.
The restraint.
The intentional detail in every corner.

So I reached out. Just to say how impressed I was.

That message turned into our first session in 2022… and since then I’ve had the privilege of documenting the evolution of Warrahbinya — from accommodation to a beautiful store on Main Street, Rutherglen, to the flower farm that continues to grow alongside it.

This isn’t just content creation.

This is documenting a vision unfolding.

Athina has incredible taste and clarity. She and Ian bring ideas to life together in a way that feels grounded and expansive at the same time. There’s energy when we work — but there’s also trust. She lets me do my thing. She sees the value in what I create.

And I’m no longer minimising how much that matters.

Long-term creative partnerships are where I do my best work.

Because trust creates depth.
Depth creates storytelling.
And storytelling builds brands that last.

(And if I get to photograph snow falling over the flower farm this winter… I’ll consider that a personal victory.)

Sal and I have worked together for years now — from the Beechworth Gaol days, to Vincent Street, through the culinary adventure that was Vera, and now here in the beer garden at Stanley.

Long-term partnerships allow the work to deepen.

Families spilling onto the grass.
Dogs stretched out in the shade.
Music drifting through the afternoon light.
Cold beer. Hot days. Regional life.

This is what building a seasonal visual library looks like — imagery that supports marketing, tourism and storytelling over time.
